The fine print
Please note that this hotel does not accept American Express cards.Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings.It is a wonderful place to observe bird migration. Our reserve has a large group of more than 2709 species of birds that have been recorded around the area.
We also have great cycling routes such as Winchelsea & Rye Harbour Nature Reserve loop and Pett Level Road loop from Winchelsea. On the way you will see historic landmarks and great country side views. If you don’t have a bike and wanted to try something different. We have our own electric e-bikes which we can hire out to you for a day etc. We also have free onside bike storage to lock your bicycles up at night securely and CCTV on site with facilities to charge your own E-bike.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Cosy place to stay over for a longer weekend. Checkin is super quick as well as the checkout. Very clean and comfort bed sheets.

This is our chosen place to stay when we visit relatives locally after a 6 hour drive and we do have a favourite room which they will always give us if they can and this means everything to us as we are creatures of habit and it has become home from home. However, on this occasion they couldn’t give us our usual room as they are making improvements throughout so they gave us a complimentary upgrade instead and we stayed in the Swan Suite which we loved very much and will definitely book when we are able to stay for more than 1 night at a time. The suite was tasteful and yet understated with matching decor and soft furnishings throughout, Air Con and a modern heating systems which kept the place thoroughly toasty and warm on a very cold, windy day. The bedroom was spacious with a window with a view and a huge bed that was very soft and comfortable and was positioned perfectly for optimal view of the TV, the bathroom looked fresh and clean with a lovely hot shower, there was plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries too. The living quarters are equipped with a TV, sofa, dining table and a fridge stocked with water, soft drinks and alcohol, also a kettle and coffee machine with an array of pods to choose from and a well stocked tea caddy with complimentary biscuits and chocolate. The patio doors open onto the most breathtaking views of the countryside where you will find comfortable chairs to sit and take the view in. I would highly recommend this suite and can’t wait to book it during the summer when we can stay longer to make the most of the suite and the stunning views. We enjoyed a perfectly cooked full English after a choice of muffins, croissants, a large selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal, different fresh fruit juices and tea and coffee.
