Please note that this hotel does not accept American Express cards.Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings.It is a wonderful place to observe bird migration. Our reserve has a large group of more than 2709 species of birds that have been recorded around the area.
We also have great cycling routes such as Winchelsea & Rye Harbour Nature Reserve loop and Pett Level Road loop from Winchelsea. On the way you will see historic landmarks and great country side views. If you don’t have a bike and wanted to try something different. We have our own electric e-bikes which we can hire out to you for a day etc. We also have free onside bike storage to lock your bicycles up at night securely and CCTV on site with facilities to charge your own E-bike.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. The setting is nice and welcoming, with flowers everywhere and a lovely fishpond. Very useful carpark. The bedroom was nice and cosy, with lots of space to put away all our stuff in drawers and a spacious wardrobe; a very comfortable private balcony and soothing view over meadows. The bathroom was adequate. The breakfasts were simply EXCEPTIONAL: freshly cooked on demand by very nice, helpful staff, a wide choice of all kinds of goodies, and the best cooked bacon I have ever tasted in a hotel.

We were fortunate to be upgraded to one of the suites. It was lovely, with a separate sitting area, bedroom with king-size bed, and roomy bathroom with towelling robes. Off the sitting are there were patio doors opening out to a lovely rural view.
