Room was very spacious and nicely decorated. Although it wasn't particularly cold at the time of our visit, it was good to find it was well heated. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Lovely cosy bar and restaurant area. Food was delicious although we were beaten by the very generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again and recommend to others.

We stay here because it's within easy walking distance of Rye centre, rooms are comfortable, good breakfast and, unusually for Rye hotels, it has a car park.

The room was very nice and spacious. The bedroom was clean and tidy. The pub downstairs was really nice, what you would expect from an old style pub ( it is a listed building). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They have additional cottages outside on offer too. There is also a large car park available. The food was very good, we had an evening meal there and our breakfasts. It’s just over a mile out of the main town down a long hill, so as long as you like a walk which we do it’s a great location as the town is small and parking limited. If we visit the area again we would definitely look to stay here again.
