As beautiful as it looks. The design and comfort of this place is top notch. The hosts are incredibly generous with their time and cooked us many meal during our stay. It was rainy and I was ill during our stay and it was the perfect place to rest and recuperate. The cat made a great companion too! Our hosts also adapted the meals to be vegan for us and were always happy to help. Hot showers were a great bonus! And we were lucky that all the guests were sociable so we met some great travellers too!

Absolutely recommend Mama’s as a place to stay in Ruteng. We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom and toilet. The room was good size, bed was comfortable. Cleanliness of everything was excellent. The on site restaurant with staff available was a bonus and we were able to stay in for authentic food - really great flavours and price. If you want to meet others too, with mama’s being a bit like a mini hostel- you can easily meet others. Mamas is a little oasis in Ruteng - conveniently location too!

I really enjoyed my stay there. The food was delicious. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. They even started a fireplace when we were having dinner. Everything was perfectly clean. It had a nice hostel vibe with a shared breakfast table. Some rooms shared a bathroom.
