Location was perfect: right on the Izvorul Muntelui Lake with breathtaking views of Mount Ceahlau, surrounded by trees and quaint bucolic homesteads, about half an hour away from Durau and the trails and about the same distance/travel time to Cheile Bicazului and Lacul Rosu. Loved the facilities overlooking the lake and the hammock area! There were plenty of parking spots behind the building, the rooms were clean and just right for the price. The only thing that kept me up at night was the popping, creaking, and gurgling coming from the pipes that crossed our bedroom to the room above us. However, this will happen only if you are a light sleeper. My husband slept through the night, no problem. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the food, delightful and affordable! We will definitley return during the warm season!
