The house is situated in a small village with the huge garden full of fruit trees bordering the church and an orchard where geese roam. E. Leclerc supermarket is only 5 mins drive away in Hirsinque. The house itself is very big over 3 floors with lots of rooms to explore and electric shutters on the doors and windows. Lots of storage space for clothes etc. The kitchen is well stocked with absolutely everything we needed including indoor grill. We even found a salad spinner. We had our elderly mum with us who has poorly knees and can’t walk up stairs. She had the double room downstairs and used the bathroom with walk in shower on the ground floor. She was also very glad of the mobility aid handle by the toilet. The host family live in the same village and are very friendly and on hand if we needed them. The house decor is not modern but it has a lot of character and everywhere was very clean. We ordered bedlinen and towel hire directly with the local agent which was very reasonably priced. Some of the most beautiful villages and towns in the Alsace region are only an hours drive north and Switzerland and Germany also on the doorstep of this property.
