We came late, and there were no who can meet us, but we got detail instructions about the stay. The host keeper us informed about the possibilities and prepared the room with the clean bed sheets. We stay just for night and early morning left the place, so cannot say a lot about restaurant, it was closed that morning. But there was cafe where coffe and tea was available.

We come back again and again to this lovely family business in a fantastic location. The rooms’ decor is a bit rustic but it adds to the charm in my opinion. It was clean and we had an en-suite shower. We had a lovely view onto the Verdon Canyon across the road. The auberge is located at the end of the GR4 Blanc-Martel walk (4 to 6 hours through the canyon). So on our first day, we dropped some clothes at the auberge and parked the car at the other end of the walk (Chalet de la Maline on the Route des Crêtes, past La Palud Sur Verdon). We walk towards the auberge on the GR4 and got a lovely dinner with local produce and a good night sleep. The next day, we walked back in the other direction to get back to the car. The walk is so amazing that I have done it many times. There are buses if a one way journey is enough for you, but it’s best to book ahead in summer. So in summary, comfy room, friendly people, great dinner and perfect location. And the breakfast is lovely too. (And there aren’t any mosquitos given the slight altitude.)
