I stayed at Alpin Motel on a recent business trip and was thoroughly impressed. The bedding was modern and high-quality, with both memory foam and feather pillows — a thoughtful touch that made a real difference. I loved the room’s warm, modern color palette; it created a very inviting atmosphere. The wool blanket was especially lovely — I’d love to know where they source them. The inner courtyard garden is spacious and well-kept, and the complimentary coffee at reception was a nice perk. I particularly enjoyed starting my mornings with a coffee in the garden, listening to the birds. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Rotorua for a conference.

Great location – just a short walk to the Maori village, which my husband and I really enjoyed. Also very close to the Redwoods. The room was clean, warm, and quiet at night – perfect for a light sleeper like me. The motel has a large garden and BBQ facilities. We didn’t use the pool as our room had a private hot tub, which was a real treat. We were very happy with our stay and are already looking forward to coming back!

The hot tub and smart toilet were the biggest highlights, Newly renovated, clean and spacious unit with separate bedroom/living area. Compact kitchen with basics suited my husband cooking. Free laundry was a thoughtful perk.

A perfect place to stay for mountain biking enthusiasts! There’s a dedicated bike wash area, and I was able to safely store my bike right in the private outdoor hot tub area of the room, which made me feel totally at ease about bike security. The private hot tub was just what I needed to relax after a full day on the trails. An added bonus was the shared sauna in the motel — a wonderful surprise! Both my husband and I really enjoyed it. This place had everything we needed for a comfortable and refreshing stay.
