Lovely building full of 400 year old character. Exceptionally friendly and warm staff. Superb food. Incredible kitchen/bar setup. Lovely wood burning fire. Cosy lounge rooms. Unique cottage, unique experience, unbelievable location. Faultless. Next time, I will book more time…. Beautiful, stunning- not enough superlatives. Thank you Nigel and team, we will be back, for sure.

The location is amongst the most beautiful Lake District scenery. The 400 year old hotel is full of character, sloping floors and quirky additions.
