The fine print
The restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening, Monday & Tuesday, including cooked breakfasts on these days, which is reflected in the rate.The bar is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. On these days a remote check in via key safe will be required.Dogs are permitted throughout the Hostelrie and an amout of £15 per dog per stay will be applied. Dogs should be kept on a lead in throughout the property and additional cost of cleaning or replacing items may be applied if dogs foul indoors. Under no circumstances must dogs be left unattended.If you expect to arrive between 14:00 and 18:00 on weekdays in autumn and winter, please inform The Hostelrie in advance.

Lovely period property. Room was extremely comfortable and had very amenity you could wish for. Beautiful period bar which served great food and a lovely breakfast. Staff were super friendly.

The weather was terrible and we just wanted a lovely country pub with rooms, great food and a lovely fire and that's exactly what we got.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and Tyler deserves particular mention for his helpfulness. The bedroom was warm and cosy and the bed very comfortable. The building has character and is ideally located for exploring the Wye Valley. I enjoyed dining in the bar area each evening and recommend the Butty Bach ale.

The pub onsite was amazing, good staff, drinks and food. Rooms are quaint and have a lovely feel to them, facilities aren't super modern, but they are clean and everything works just how you'd like.

The staff were amazing, attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The Hostelrie is very doggie friendly, in a beautiful location and ideal for exploring the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. I will definitely visit again.
