Our bedroom was very large, and spacious with high ceilings and large windows that looked out towards the garden. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor seating area by and around the pool was nice and clean and you could get bar service from there. The pool was adequate - it is not an inground pool but a good size. I also liked the decor of the lounge and foyer area - quite contemporary, smart with clean lines. The building is an old monastery so I was expecting a more traditional decor so a nice surprise.

One of the highlights was Zahid and his service and cooking. As soon as we got there he came and chatted with our family, getting to know us all. Zahid runs the cafe in the evening for drinks and a small range of food. Well worth stopping here. He was friendly, always welcoming us home each afternoon and cooked us pizza over and over again. Pizza was a great evening meal after a long day out. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was also good that they had some basic information about buses, trains and local as well as city places to eat. Cleaner did a great job and anything extra we needed (pillows and towels) was provided quickly. I agree the paths are thin but easily walkable in a line of people. Maybe an issue if you have a large pram. The metro was the best public transport for us as we were using it peak hour and the buses were full. It is a short walk. It took about 30 minutes to get to most attractions from walking and taking metro. Best spot to buy metro tickets is at the station. If you buy at the Tabacco place near maccas you need to have cash. The local area was a bit rougher than the city but you we did not feel unsafe at any point even walking late at night.
