The property is very easy to find, parking is just across the main road, free and right outside the Therme. Access to the property was problematic! The host was unavailable by the phone number given and after several attempts over twenty minutes I had no other option but to ring Customer Services at Bookings.com. Late on a very hot Sunday afternoon, after several attempts to also contact the host it was established that an Agency were supposed to email me details for the entry code.They eventually did only after Bookings.com resolved the issue! The property was located fifteen minutes walk into town. Lovely bakeries and little independent shops and small supermarket for supplies. The property was clean and comfortable, very secure and in a safe area, we found it quiet and there was only a small amount of traffic noise after 7.30am. Outside there is a little seating area with a super well equipped utility room, with plenty of room for a couple of bikes if needed. Rochefort is not a large city but a very walkable town with a lovely central garden and fountain with cafes. It has a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

My dog and I loved the daily morning walks in the park and afternoon/evening walks along the Corderie Royale and past the sailboats moored in the basins next to the Charente. We were in the ville for the Christmas season with all its festivities and joie de vivre. What a fabulous place.

Lovely studio apartment with large bathroom area, fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar. Within walking distance of the town. Great restaurant next door, a must try.
