The Chateau de La Tour en Brenne is a wonderful building which has been expertly restored and furnished by the hosts, Kristof and Ivan. From the moment we arrived to the day we left our hosts were welcoming and attentive. The meals cooked by Kristof were excellent and as we stayed 5 days we were able to enjoy a wide range of dishes. The meals were eaten all together with the other guests and we enjoyed a wide range of conversations about many subjects with some very pleasant people. Kristof and Ivan were perfect hosts during these meals and made sure every one was fully included and translated whenever required. As keen cyclists, the Chateau was a perfect location, flat rides in the Brenne to the North and more undulating rides to the South and East. The venue was magical and the rooms were large and contained lovely antique furniture which had been expertly restored. The gardens alongside the river bank were tranquil and full of wildlife and the two dogs, Bruno and Iko were well natured and great company also. If we could have given our stay at the chateau 11/10 we would, certainly we aim to be back again in the near future to enjoy this wonderful venue.

Absolutely stunning chateau right on the river - gorgeous room (the Duchess), impeccable decor, a lovely meal (like a dinner party) with the other guests. Highly highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of staying at Château de la Tour en Brenne for one night on our way down to the south of France and another on our return journey— both stays were simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by hosts Ivan and Kristof, whose kind hospitality made our experience truly special. The château itself is stunning— full of charm, character, and peaceful beauty. Our room (the Duchess suite) was elegant and comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. Swimming in the river outside was a lovely way to cool off in the heat, joined by Iko the golden retriever. After drinks on the patio, Kristof cooked a wonderful dinner that we ate at a shared table along with the other guests of different nationalities - which was fun and interesting as we all shared our stories. It was the perfect place to rest and recharge during our travels. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We would love to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Château de la Tour en Brenne to anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming place to stay. Thank you Ivan and Kristof, Bruno and Iko for making us feel so at home.
