This hostel is quite big and offers good value for money. The location is not bad, there is quite a few places to have food nearby. The closest bridge across the river is closed for now. The cleanliness was not the best but not dirty. It was very noisy in the morning. They have nice cafe on the top floor, where you can have breakfast or something

I stayed at Shalom for 8 days while traveling solo, and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it easy to meet other travellers. The Staff (Udit, Govind, Abhishek) were super friendly and helpful. The vibe of the hostel made it feel like a home away from home. And the view from hostel is amazing. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend whether you're looking to socialize or just chill, it strikes a nice balance.

Had a dreamy little stay at this hostel - ended up extending our stay as we didn’t want to leave. Wonderful location overlooking the river, with a lovely cafe/terrace. We made some great friends there. The staff, particularly Dinesh, went above and beyond to meet our needs. We were kindly granted a free room upgrade to a room with a balcony and view. Around the hostel are really nice cafes perfect for laptop working, and lots of restaurants, shops and markets, but definitely rent a scooter from the hostel and go exploring beyond the immediate vicinity. It’s so beautiful!

A Peaceful & Heartwarming Stay at Salom Rishikesh From the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed. Dinesh was incredibly helpful throughout — always attentive and ready to assist. Mohit bhai, who served food with a constant smile, brought a warm, homely touch to each day. Rahul and Abhishek were equally kind and supportive, making the stay even more comfortable. A special thanks to Shiv Charan, the manager at Salom Dharamkot, who suggested I visit this property. I’m really glad I followed his advice — I absolutely enjoyed my relaxing stay here. It's the kind of place that feels like home.
