Please note that this hotel is accessible only by boat. Tortugal will contact you after booking with a welcome letter with direction to free secure parking, phone numbers to call for our free water taxi and what to do upon arrival by bus.Please do not bring in food or drink. Smoking is allowed only in restricted areas. Children under 5 must be supervised as there are elevated walkways over water and rocks. Some rooms are not suitable for children.Many species of birds and animals and a mangrove forest can be found on the property.When travelling with pets, please note that an extra charge of Q50 per pet, per night applies.

Beautiful accomodation in the riverside. Bungalows are clean, spacious, and well equipped until the last details. This is a good example for doing the best, not just sufficient. The food is exceptional! There is an option for a river cruise on demand. The owner, and the staff, were very kind. Definitely recommended!

We only stayed one night at Tortugal, but we really enjoyed our time there. Angela, the owner, is an absolute gem, so kind, welcoming, and attentive. She really makes you feel at home. The food was fantastic. We had the seafood soup and it was incredibly flavorful, rich and satisfying. We stayed in bungalow 3, which has a beautiful direct view of the lake. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower had excellent hot water and the terrace was easily one of the best parts of the stay. The only downside was the traffic noise from the bridge nearby. If you’re a light sleeper, bringing earplugs is a must. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.
