I loved the staff and the central location... The hotel needs urgent repairs and maintenance. The food was decent but never changed at all during my stay. The aircon in the room was great with low noise but other rooms were not so lucky. The TV could have had better channel selection and entertainment. I guess since I also host a huge property in Johannesburg, South Africa I would have expected something similar at the price-point paid.

- Really comfortable bed - Friendly staff - Restaurant downstairs a convenient option, if not a bit overpriced - Good location for the city centre, about 15 minute walk to Lapa and to Carioca metro station and 5 minute walk to some cool bars like Scenarium. Never felt especially unsafe in the area.

Good breakfast and central location. There is a metro station near to the hotel so it's easy for travelling around Rio de Janeiro.
