We stayed in this beautifully renovated two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Rijeka, Croatia, set within a charming old building that appears to date back to the early 1700s—possibly Venetian or Austrian in style. Though the outside of the building is a little dated. The high ceilings and preserved architectural details gave it plenty of charm, while the modern renovation and edgy artwork added a stylish, contemporary feel. Located on the ground floor, the apartment had direct access and convenient parking right at the front door. The spacious living area and well-equipped kitchen made it perfect for a short stay, complete with everything we needed and a great coffee machine. One of the bedrooms had an ensuite, which we didn’t use, while we stayed in the main bedroom that had a separate bathroom located at the front of the apartment. The main bathroom was a little compact, but the enormous, comfortable bed more than made up for it. The driveway entrance was slightly tricky to spot, sitting right on the corner of the block at an intersection, though Google Maps guided us easily. The street itself is in a gated area lined with other old houses offering similar apartment style accommodation. We even had glimpses of the ocean through the buildings from the living room window. We liked it so much, we extended for another night to really relax and enjoy it.

The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room and all the necessary amenities. It also had convenient and easily accessible parking, which made our stay even more pleasant.

An incredible place to stay for a good price, the apartment was spacious and there’s access to a bus literally 1 minutes walk away which enabled us to get into the town centre with our backpacks.
