Ricardo and Ana, the hosts, were kind and helpful - they provided plenty of useful tips on places to visit and where to eat, and were always easy to reach if needed. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything we needed. We especially liked the terrace with its view of the ocean. The area was quiet, yet still close to the beach and shops, which made it a convenient base.

Descanso do Guerreiro was a lovely and quiet rustic property that we soon felt at home in. It was very well located for the sights of San Miguel, although you do need a hire car. Although we stayed in early November, it was lovely to have the terrace and garden. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the provisions pack that was left was a lifesaver given our late arrival.

The accommodation completely met our expectations, a quiet place, a beautiful house with everything you need. The added value here is the very helpful host Paulo who takes perfect care of his guests. Usually we don't give a rated ten, but here there was no other choice :-). P. S. We don't know how Paulo arranged it, but we had beautiful weather all week (it only rained on the day of our departure).
