“Beautiful Y Bwythyn Cosy Cottage”
23 Apr 2025
Perfect family holiday. Friendly welcome from the owners Lorraine and Bruce on arrival. The cottage itself is a beautiful building, lovingly restored by the owners. It had such a homely warm cosy feel to it. Spotless and well equipped. It had everything we needed for our week away. The matrresses were so comfortable. Lovely hot water for refreshing shower or a soak in the bath. The location of cottage has stunning views and so peaceful. Lots of information to hand for things to do /places to visit in the area. During our week we visited Barmouth several times, a relaxing end to the day after lots of walks. Beautiful sandy beach and stunning sunsets. There is a lovely park for children all ages at Dolgellau (near Co-op car park - cross little bridge). Some of the walks we did - 'Precipse Walk'/ 'Panarama walk'/'Torrent Walk, woods & waterfall' / Rhiwargor Falls, Lake Vyrmwy, Dam and Tree Hand. The surrounding countryside & views were just breathtaking. We were very lucky with the weather. At the end of the week, we parked in Llanberis all day car park £12 (opposite train train station), took the Snowdon train ¾ of the way to Clogwyn Station and walked the last mile to the summit and then walked down the Miners Path to the Pen Y Pas car park and got a bus back the Llanberis (best to check times of last bus).On our last day, we had a much needed relaxing day at the cottage. We would definitely like to book this beautiful cottage again as there is so much more we wanted to do in this beautiful part of Wales. Thank you so much Lorraine and Bruce for making our stay - PERFECT

“Very highly recommended to others.”

Lovely spacious accommodation with a charming garden and view with completely private parking. Interior furniture, fixtures and fittings all excellent. Very useful documentation provided to include recommended local area walking. Charming and helpful hosts. Very highly recommended.
