The hotel is in a fantastic location with all the spots quite easily accessible by walk. Hotel itself is very quiet with a lovely rustic feeling somewhat emblematic of Iceland. The breakfast was great as well. The room was very cozy.

Loved this hotel. The location is perfect. Right in the centre of the city. Near to the bus station and 5 minutes to amazing restaurants and bars. The staff were incredible. We arrived early and were checked right in with no issues at all. All of the staff at breakfast were so welcoming and friendly. It was also the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The room was immaculate. Really comfortable bed and amazing shower. I can’t even express how much I loved it. Would go back tomorrow if I could!

The hotel is a Mr&Mrs Smith hotel which we did not expect. We loved the room, the location was fantastic. There was some heavy building work going on opposite which is totally outside of the hotel's control and so I cannot say this is a fault of Sand Hotel but to be woken by a Piling rig every morning except Sunday was not ideal. Had we known we were staying opposite a building site we may have looked elsewhere but this was easy to overlook given the quality of the hotel, the location and the room. The double bed was Huge and very very comfortable.
