I was upgraded to the 4 star hotel where you're supposed to pick the keys up for the original booking. The staff were nice.

A very convenient hotel for independent travelers in the center of Rennes. Close to the station, clean rooms.

The hotel is very close to Rennes central train station, 3 minutes really, and to Musee de Bretagne, too. It is a perfect base for one day trips around Brittany (I stayed three days there). Nice good creperie, perfect for breakfast or dinner, 2 minutes away. Nevertheless, downstairs in the hotel there is self-service kitchen as well. The room was spacious, with comfortable bed and desk, good lightning, and good sound isolation too. The window has an electric jalousie; however, with the steering buttons close to the entrance to the room, not to the window.
