Our hotel is situated in the middle of the pedestrian area. Please use the following streets / places in the listed order to enter them into your navigation system:
1. Bismarckplatz > 2. Gesandtenstraße > 3. Rote Hahnen Gasse
At the end of Rote Hahnen Gasse you will find the Haidplatz and the entrance in our hotel. Please enter the building through the archway. Guests expecting to arrive after 19:00 are kindly asked to contact the property in advance to arrange check-in. There is a limited number of parking spaces at the property. These are assigned according to availability and cannot be reserved in advance. Guests also receive a discounted price of EUR 12 at a public car park located just a 3-minute walk away. Please contact the accommodation for more details. It is recommended you call the accommodation on the day of arrival to inform them of your check-in time.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Well, we expected this hotel to be good ! It wasn't good... it was really really great. From the moment we arrived, we felt I to was going to be special and we were right. Our host, Christina, brought us to our room (a Deluxe Queen Suite) and we loved it straight away. It had everything and more than we expected. It overlooked the Haidplaz so we had a prime view on all the activity going on below... but the windows were so good, we could shut out the noise if and when we wanted. The large bed was superbly comfortable. The room was also large so we had lots of space. The bathroom was a perfect size and everything was spotlessly clean. The cooking area was well equipped and very functional. Breakfast was wonderful... A great choice of food, in lovely surroundings... a super way to start the day. Christina was so welcoming & lovely and she gave us great background to the hotel's history, the oldest part of which dates back to 1230, and its links to famous people through the ages. The other staff that we met were very pleasant & smiley and so helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect and all the sights are within easy walking distance... as is the train station. There is also two free bus routes (A & B) that pass by the hotel to take you around the city, if you want them. The tourist office has a free app that gives you a marvelous walking tour of the city. Regensburg is a special gem - very beautiful - not too big and not too small. Our top picks are the Bavarian Historical Museum, closely followed by the Thurn und Taxis Palace.. both are simply brilliant but in very different ways. There are tons of bars and restaurants within easy reach of the hotel. We would highly recommend a stay in Hotel Goldnes Kreus.

Loved the location and the hotel was lovely, we had a large room. Breakfast in the cafe next door was amazing.
