We stayed at The Retreat for a week with our two sons who are 10 and 6. We enjoyed using the pool and were very lucky with the weather! The Retreat is very spacious and clean and the main bed was very comfortable. I usually do not find beds very comfortable when staying at places but this one was lovely. There were lots of games, puzzles and children's toys in the cupboard which we could use. It was nice to have a few little treats and useful items left for us before our shopping arrived too. The location is lovely and we enjoyed watching the animals from the garden. It was a good base to explore the surrounding area.

An absolute gem of a place to stay. Beautifully equipped throughout with lovely touches of fudge, ice cream and milk waiting for us when we arrived. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Lovely evenings drinking wine outside and chatting to the sheep!

Beautiful property, a wonderful break for us living centrally and wanting a peaceful trip. Hosts were warm and welcoming, we felt truly at home as soon as we arrived. They provide a helpful guest guidebook for the area, places to visit and things to do. The property itself feels homely while modern, clean and beautifully presented. The shower pressure and temperature was great, and the bedroom ceiling fan came in very handy for the warmer evenings. The area feels very secure and safe, with gated entry and owners/hosts nearby. Would love to visit again, and would recommend staying for more than 2 nights.
