The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that all guests are subject to a Marine Park Conservation fee upon arrival.
Ferry schedule:
- From Merang Waterfront Jetty to Redang Island (12:30, 14:30, and 16:30)
- From Redang Island to Merang Waterfront Jetty (8:00, 10:00 and 12:00)

This is the only hotel in the bay. We came at the end of March which is considered a low season, but the weather was really nice! Clear water, plankton doesn't bite. It is easy to swim on a kayak and snorkel with the turtles. Very calm. Very friendly staff. Hamdan from reception is very attentive ❤️

The beach was crystal clear. At one point we found ourselves completely alone, it felt wonderfully private! The Cliff Bay room was great, featuring a spacious bathroom, a large living area, and a comfortably sized bedroom. The view from the room was amazing. There’s a shortcut to the beach but its quite a long flight of steps so we opted to take the buggy to the main lobby/ beach instead each time. We joined the complimentary 1hour snorkeling trip, just a short boat ride from the resort. It was my 4.5-year-old boy’s 1st snorkeling experience so the location and duration were perfect. We even got to see a few big turtles swimming right around us! The food served at The Cove was quite delicious. We love relaxing there in the early evening, enjoying a leisurely dinner and the gentle sea breeze while watching our toddler run around, play in the sand by the beach. The hotel staffs were extremely helpful and friendly too. We couldn't wait to be back!
