Hotel Overview

Hotel Gran Proa Playa Raxó is set right on Raxó Beach, on the Pontevedra Estuary. As well as free bicycle use, it offers 24-hour reception, free WiFi throughout the property and free public parking nearby. There is also a children's games room.

Raxo is a small seaside town located among a string of small towns that run Westwards along the coastline from Pontevedre. The town runs down to a beautiful curved beach with super clean golden white sands and crystal clear shallow waters. The hotel sits in front of the beach. It is a small hotel with a lovely terrace and bar facing the sea. It also has a roof terrace with fantastic views. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean but the only thing noticeable is the stunning uninterrupted views from the terrace over the beach and sea. Fabulous !!! It was worth every penny extra for this view. The beachfront is lined with a mixture of holiday and private apartments giving it an 'old fashioned' resort feel which is lovely to see these days. But there are many modern bars and restaurants which have great views and serve excellent food. A really beautiful place and a lovely hotel. Parking was free behind the front line buildings and only a short walk. The whole area is stunningly beautiful, especially the Rias Baixas area which is only a short drive.

Location was top class, our room had a balcony overlooking the beach which was right next to the hotel, complete heaven, beautiful surroundings. Clean and spacious room in a fantastic location, we did not want to leave, lots of nice restaurants walking distance. Breakfast was good.
