To be very clear , the access trouble was nothing to do with the host , but a pre booked taxi driver who lazily dropped us on the right road , but 1km from the apartment , and at 9pm our host kindly came and collected us. The apartment , host , facilities and balcony view are first class and it's a great location in one of the most immaculately clean cities I've ever visited. There's a good basic bar (the Terminus) just opposite , and plenty of places to eat if you research a bit.

The location is fantastic, very central opposite the station, 10 mins walk from the souk, 5 mins walk from the art station, lots of good cafes very near. Large airy flat, washing machine and balcony for drying clothes and enjoying the view. Good thick clean towels. There was a locked room for my bicycle. Good check-in communication and handover from the owner host.
