Melbourne Lodge exceeded my expectations. Normally I'm reluctant to stay in accommodation with a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom facilities don't really feel like that here. They're private and were rarely ever being used by other guests when I wanted to use them. Each room also has a private sink. The location is good (although slightly uphill from town). There is a bus stop nearby where the ski buses stop. The room was a good size for a single.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD OPTION FOR A BUDGET TRAVELER TO QUEENSTOWN WHERE PRICES ARE HIGH AND ESPECIALLY FOR ONE WHO WANTS A SINGLE ROOM WITH GOOD FACILITIES. IT'S CLOSE TO TOWN, HAS AN AMAZING VIEW, FRIENDLY STAFF, I WATCHED NETFLIX DOCUMENTARIES ON A DECENT BIG SCREEN AND THE MANAGER ALLOWED ME TO STAY FOR AS LONG AS I LIKED ON MY CHECK OUT DAY IN THE LOUNGE WATCHING NETFLIX
