For Indian guests, cash settlements of INR 50000 and above will require a pan card copy during check out.Mandatory Surcharge for Festive Meals at Pratap Mahal, Ajmer. Mandatory New Year Eve Dinner (31st December) INR 4500 plus taxes per person Kids up to 11 Years will be charged 50% of above rates for Mandatory Festive Meals.

This is a beautiful property. It really looks like the pictures. The facade is striking, the lobby is spectacular and the courtyard is quite charming. The rooms are spacious and decorated with traditional furniture. Beds are very comfortable. Wifi works - once you get through the deliberately confusing configuration alternative. Food in the restaurant was delicious and portions were huge. Breakfast was fine and filling. Prices were quite reasonable for this kind of hotel. We ate in the hotel at every meal. Staff were wonderful, cheery and accommodating. In the evening a group of Jaisalmeri minstrels sat in the courtyard and performed folk songs to an audience shivering over bonfires. It was 90% drum and a bit of wailing on the side, which didn't inspire braving the cold, but it made a very atmospheric background in the room. The location is out of the way. We came for two nights on our way to Pushkar, mainly because we wanted to stay in this hotel. Seems like others come for just a night and then move on. But it's worth spending a bit longer. There are interesting walks one can take into the mountains, where there are no houses, only goats and the occasional goatherd. The hotel even offered us a complimentary trekking guide. It's a very fine property and worth a stop over.
