I stayed there for one night as a layover before taking the ferry the next day. As a solo travelling woman I especially liked the feeling of security! The location for me was perfect within short walking distance to both the bus terminal where I arrived and the ferry the next day. The room was very spacious and clean, had 1 large bed and 1 small one as well as a wardrobe, a table and even cutlery and bowls/plates. There‘s a shared kitchen and a terrace in the backyard. They also offer laundry service for a few dollars. The owner is very kind and helpful!

Location was good and a large room. Cups and cutlery provided if you bought in your own food. Good air con which was very much needed

- very friendly and attentive owner! - kitchen with all basic equipment available - spacious room with big wardrobe, even bowls, plates, forks, knives,… - laundry service available (5$) - secure - very clean - in walkable distance to both the bus terminal and the ferry

A perfect 10, I would give it 11/10 if I could! This hostel is amazing: 5 STAR CLEAN, sweet staff, spacious room (with all the essentials that are so often missing: side lamp, hangers, mirrors etc), pristine sheets and towels, external kitchen area with free coffee already made and waiting in the morning (to me, this is priceless!!!), stable internet, close to ferry...honestly, this is one of the only places I have stayed in years that felt it was truly made with care and love rather than for profit. I will certainly use this as my go-to next time I am in Puntarenas.
