Clean, modern, well-equipped with excellent aircon units. Pool was delightful with good beds. Room was cleaned/tidied daily. Outdoor bathroom was quirky but fun. Mike - our host - communicated clearly and quickly - also just a nice guy. We loved sunset at Malpais Beach (first path/track on left to beach - 100metres up the road towards town). We also walked from there up the beautiful sandy beach - past all (the beach actually wasn’t at all crowded) the surfers - to the Banana Beach Club which had “free” beds; just buy their drinks/food which is fair value/good quality. We also ate at the wood fired chicken place on the main strip - great fun - can’t miss the flames ! The Bakery Coffee shop - mid-strip - was super chilled and super delicious. Used the service laundry on the main strip - 2000 colones per kg - returned fresh and folded within 3 hours. For a day trip we drove 1hr to Montezuma (lovely place, bit quieter than Santa Teresa with a gorgeous small beach and boat trips daily to all points), and then on to the Cabo Blanco National Park (the first in Costa Rica 1963). We walked the well signposted Suenos Trail through the most beautiful forest to the idyllic beach - paused for a rest and walked back. 5kms each way and strenuous up/down up/down in February humidity but soooooo worth it ! There are shorter loop walks available. Without a guide (not needed) we saw and heard giant woodpeckers, were 3metres from a foraging Anteater (!), and were surrounded by a band of Coatis. We spent a while watching the hard working leaf cutter ants. Only then at the end of our hike to watch a troop of white-faced capuchins fooling about at the reception centre. Amazing place. Stopped at the La Selva craft brewery on the way back for a delicious chilled craft beer !

Super nice the house was confortable beautifully decorated, nice pool, quiet, very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful. Mike is really nice, very attentive and quick in response, also made excellent recommendations.

I had an amazing stay at D’Palm Villas! I immediately noticed how clean and well-maintained the villa was. The cleaning staff did a great job every day, ensuring everything stayed spotless. The bathroom was really nice, with warm water, and the bed was big and very comfortable. The living room was also a great place to relax, with a spacious and cozy sofa. The location was ideal—quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute walk to the city and very close to the beach. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed :) Overall, I would 100% recommend D’Palm Villas to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and well-located place to stay.
