Beautiful cozy apartments in the Puerto Madrin center with private gated parking. You can park your car either along the road or in the gated parking, which was very convenient. The apartments have everything you need. There's a wonderful cafe Eatwell, right across the street, serving delicious coffee and breakfast from 7 am to 11 pm. I especially want to mention the mattress – it's just the right amount of firmness and orthopedic, so we slept peacefully and comfortably with a beautiful panoramic sunset view. You saw the ocean from the window, with whales splashing along the coastline at sunset. Incredibly beautiful! _______________________________ We flew into Puerto Madryn Airport, but it's a small airport. If you can't find a convenient flight there, you can arrive at Trelew Airport, which is about an hour's drive from Puerto Madryn. Both airports offer car rentals, and I highly recommend renting a car because taxi and bus services are not well developed on the peninsula. Tour buses can be expensive and not very convenient in terms of timing. We rented a car with automatic transmission and insurance coverage for three days, and it ended up costing us 50% less than a guided whale watching tour. Here's a tip: head straight to Puerto Piramides and look for accommodations on the actual Valdes Peninsula to avoid spending time on daily park entry tickets. On your first day, observe the whales from the shore, and consider taking a boat tour from Puerto Piramides for a closer look. There are some excellent seafood restaurants nearby; be sure to ask for the local catch of the day. On the second day, explore various locations on the peninsula, but be cautious as the roads can be gravelly, and it's essential to keep a safe following distance from other vehicles to avoid stone chips on your windshield.
