Stunning location, the owners were lovely, and there were bonus donkeys, chooks, highland cattle, etc. I’d like to have had more time to explore the property. The cottage we stayed in was a wee bit frayed at the edges, but still felt far more spacious, homely and comfortable than a cookie-cutter donga at a caravan park. It suited my tastes to a T! And, travelling with teenagers, it was great to have a large bathroom and full kitchen (stovetop plus oven/grill, full-sized fridge/freezer, plenty of bench space, etc). Oh—and also a washing machine and dryer. The games room with a pool table was a nice bonus, especially as my kids are finally old enough that I don’t have to let them win ;-)

Great view of Mt Roland, handy to Cradle Mountain. Stayed in 4 bed Cabin, like staying at Grandma's for the night. Definately needs some TLC. Farm Animals were the highlight of the stay , they came running for pats, very friendly. Supplies available in nearly Shiefleld. Staff welcoming and helpful with info getting to the mountains.

We enjoyed our stay here. Large rustic cottage, like staying at Grandma's house. Lovely views of mountains, horses, highland cows, chooks and a donkey. Kids loved the video games in the activities room and we loved playing pool. Coffee machine was a bonus. Glad to have a full kitchen and be able to do some washing. Owner was lovely.
