We stayed at Hugo's place for 5 days in May. It's located in a small village facing the ocean. It was a great base to visiting the whole island (most sights are 20 minutes away by car and the road to Angra is absolutely gorgeous). The house is amazing, fully equipped and very comfortable. There is a balcony facing the ocean, an outdoor dining space with a BBQ and there's, of course, the pool, jacuzzi and even a sauna (they are shared with the guests of Hugo's other house)! Hugo was a very welcoming and helping host, he left us a breakfast basket and he has a collection of wine bottles that are sold at very convenient prices. A perfect stay, I would love to come back!

The house and it’s location overlooking the ocean was exceptional. It came fully equipped with everything you needed, including plug adapters, washing liquids, shampoo, shower gel, basic cooking ingredients (oils, vinegars, herbs and spices etc). Loved the wine cabinets where you can buy wines provided by Hugo at supermarket prices. We were left a welcome basket containing breads, biscuits, cheese, fruit juice etc and even got the chance to try some of Hugo’s fabulous home brew! The location is great with Angra being only half an hour drive. There are a few little supermarkets close by to the house but I would recommend stocking up at the larger ones in town.
