Offers excellent value for money as it is right by the river with an easy walk to the port houses. Basic and clean accommodation. Hairdryer, towels, linen and mini shampoo and shower gel provided. Beds comfortable. Food in attached restaurant was simple but good.

Great stay at the Pimms, would happily stay here again! I opted for the upgraded room in order to have a view of the city and river during my stay, which I did get. The rooms were large, comfortably furnished with a desk and armchair as well as a separate small dining table in the suite foyer. The rooms were elegantly decorated, with a spacious separate bathroom, endless hot water and good water pressure. In terms of location, the Pimms is perfectly located for the river front and historic quarter, but like everywhere in Porto, there are a lot of hills, so inevitably, if you're going anywhere other than the river front then you've got a long uphill stroll ahead of you. On the whole, i was very pleased with my stay at the Pimms. BUT The Pimms is a slightly odd place, in that the reception is very rarely staffed, so when I wanted to request an electric kettle for my room I had to do so via the Booking.com app. To the Pimms credit, this worked well, and they sorted the kettle for me no time, but I did walk down to Reception to try and catch somebody several times before trying the app. There's a Pizza restaurant and Burger Bar on the ground floor, both of which looked very nice, but I didn't get a chance to try them while I was staying.
