This property was small and compact. It’s one large room that has been made into an apartment. It was great for a couple of nights.

I don’t understand what happened with sincere reviews anymore. It feels like people just try to sugarcoat things. For me, it’s a solid 7. The location is decent, and you can walk to most of the main attractions. However, the building is quite old, which makes it understandable that it lacks certain things, but the photos still look much better than reality. There’s a musty smell, and the walls are chipped and not properly maintained. The check-in process also felt unnecessarily complicated. The host asks you to inform him of an estimated arrival time, then asks for your WhatsApp number, and later asks you to message again when you’re nearby just to give you the entrance and room codes. This information could easily have been sent through the booking messages, along with his phone number if any assistance was needed. After a long trip, the last thing you want is to deal with calls and unnecessary stress when everything could be handled smoothly. Check-out is at 11, yet he still sends a message asking you to leave before that, which comes across as unfriendly. Looking back, I wish I had paid an extra 30 euros for a better experience. I don’t think the heater works if you visit when it’s colder outside, and the TV is really outdated.

The location was perfect just 5 min from the main street. The apartment is in the building from 19th century, very authentic but also very clean. We have everything we need, also white towels, so clean. Also there is a supermarket Pingo Doce with the restaurant just go down the street and first left. The market Bolhao and Chapel of Souls is on 5 min from the building. I will definitely come back again!
