Another great stay at Solar das Avencas, and hopefully we can make it back soon. The size of the rooms, the superb breakfast and the excellent staff. The house is like a museum with fantastic furniture and old antics, so much to admire. Easy parking just outside the front. Near good restaurants and shops.

There's nothing not to like about the stay at Solar das Avencas. The best breakfast you can get anywhere, combined with excellent staff and very big and comfortable bedrooms. It does not get much better than this.

The room was amazing, spacous, beautifully furnished, and comfortable. The house also has a lovely courtyard, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Best of all was the real Alentejo hositality, the kind, welcoming owners and the fantastic breakfast, delicious homemade cakes and sweets, jams, local honey, pork loin, etc. I will be back!
