The location is perfect to connect to different villages around like Portalegre, Marvão, Castelo de Vide and others. Carlos was a great host and very friendly and knowledgeable about the property and the area.

This is a really nice rural self-catering place. We have stayed there before - it's near our daughter's home - so it's convenient for what we needed. I think it would make a good base for anyone visiting the area; it's near enough to Portalegre for you to get your shopping and so forth, and in easy reach of the tourist bits at Marvao. Our grandson is very impressed with the baby goats, as well.

This was a nice rural location, very quiet and rustic: don't expect any night life! The location was great for what we wanted, but might be a little remote for some people - it's a drive to get most places, although there is a very nice restaurant about fifteen minutes' walk away. You will need your Portuguese, of course! My grandson loved seeing the goats, unfortunately the pool was closed (too early in the year).
