The hotel is unassuming (I am being polite here) on the outside. The inside, however, is much better. The reception area has clearly been refurbished. It's spacious and welcoming. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was in good order, clean and bigger than we expected. Surprisingly, there were two chairs in our double room. It is highly unusual to be able to both sit on a chair! They were comfortable too. We were lucky to be given a room with a view of the beach, which is literally across the road. Location couldn't be better. Online check-in worked a treat, so getting the room key at reception was easy and quick.

All as expected. I have stayed here 15 times or so over the years. The new owners have made noticeable improvements. In a last century time warp but that's OK. Switches in the bedrooms are all a bit nutty! Port Talbot being an industrial town, it's all a bit dirty outside.
