Captain Cook Highway closed Palm Cove-Port Douglas, 5:30am-5:30pm, June 16th. Alternative route via Mulligan and Kennedy Hwy takes 3.5-4hrs to/from airport. Williams Esplanade & Cedar Road, Palm Cove closed 4am-12pm. If you have any questions regarding the above or your booking prior to Sunday 16 June 2024, please call 1300 987 604. We thank you for your understanding the inconvenience this may cause and we look forward to welcoming you.ROAD WORKS AND HIGHWAY CLOSURE:Due to necessary road repairs, a section of the Captain Cook Highway between the Rex Lookout and Turtle Cove, Wangetti, will be closed to all traffic from 15 May - 22 July 2024 between 9pm - 4am, weather and construction conditions permitting. Traffic will be let through the roadworks site from both ends at 11pm and 1.30am. Full closures will occur on the nights of Sunday 19 May and Monday 20 May where the scope of works will mean traffic CANNOT be let through. The Department of Transport and Main Roads anticipates further full closure dates may be required. The dates of full closures are dependent on progress of works, weather, materials supply, and construction conditions.No night works will occur on the following dates:
24 May - 26 May – Road will remain open for Port Douglas Carnivale1 June, 8 June, 15 June (Road will remain open to allow access ahead of the Ironman event), 16 June (Changed traffic conditions and closures will be in place.)Works will resume 17 June, 22 June, 29 June and 6 July 2024.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Room with spa was great. Large, airy. Patio. Right on main street with street atmosphere drawing you out. This also meant it’s noisy … but I rather enjoyed reading a book, drinking wine to live performances filtering in. Quieter after 11pm. Close to markets and Coles. Kitchenette and large fridge. If you want to sleep lots, not for you. But if you’re in and out, it’s convenient with nice views.

Location is excellent, and so was the suite. The Hotel called me the morning we were arriving, confirmed arrangement,s and offered early check in. Also confirmed parking arrangements.

The Mantra went out of their way to accommodate hubbys very recent knee construction and even changed our “no changes” booking when I messed up and booked the wrong date. The suite was gorgeous and so suitable for a person who had just undergone knee surgery. The suite was large, private and ultra comfortable and the location was perfect.

For us it is Location Location Location - everything is walking distance. We come up to Port Douglas for Fishing Charters and this Hotel is located across the road from the Boat Ramp
