This place is historic. What a privilege to stay in such a place which has been in the same family since before the french revolution. Do not expect a TV in your room. Do expect dated fixtures and fittings in an enormous stately bedroom suite. Breakfast will include produce grown on the estate made by the hand of Madame la Marquise who lives there full time. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Situated just outside the village on the banks of the Charente there are a few restaurants which are within walking distance (but make a reservation). Treat yourself to a stay here and help preserve this piece of history in a magical location..

It is a beautiful XVII century castle nicely decorated with spacious and bright rooms. The beds are big and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. The host accommodated our late arrival without any problem.

A beautiful chateaux. A chance to enjoy the ambience of an 18th and 19th Century property without the crowds. I was well received and service was excellent.
