Beautiful rural setting in a gorgeous part of Tasmania. Country farm with chooks dogs and cattle and a very comfortable cottage. I being born in the country of Q’land loved being on a farm and being with the cattle was a highlight. Hosts - Rod & Kim were warm and friendly and treated us like family.

This place is amazing. The cottage was very well equipped and there was also a lovely continental breakfast with freshly laid eggs from the hens which were freely wandering outside. In the field behind there were some lovely Highland cows including some gorgeous calves The following morning Rod took us on a tour of the farm and we brushed the cows. It was great and the views were amazing. There was also a really friendly dog who came to see us in the morning. Would love to have stayed longer it was very relaxing.

Beautiful location and so very quiet & peaceful. Wonderful hosts. Rod was very giving of his time, showing us the view& introducing us to his Highland Cows &Dozer the gorgeous Kelpie, not to mention the chooks. The cottage was warm and inviting. Highly recommend Ruby Cottage

It is lovely and quiet. Owner Kim allowed us to check in at 3pm instead of 4pm which was great. Rod showed us the Scottish highland cows which was interesting and recommended more places for us to see.
