The room was clean, spacious enough and comfortable. Breakfast was a number of hot options and was served at the table. Evening meals in the restaurant were very good; well cooked and well presented.

The staff make this hotel, Fiona and Katie were so good , attentive , engaging and went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble , we arrived in the middle of a storm and the power was out, they kept us informed , gave out torches in case it extended into darkness , offered to make sandwiches, made up the open fires in case , phoned other hotels and restaurants so see if they had power and table availability. As it happens the power was restored as was a full restaurant service that evening. Great food , comfy rooms and beautiful scenery. We will go back

Location, food though high end price so may not suit all. Staff, gardens, non dog resteraunt and lounge area looked nice, lovely breakfast
