The staff is extremely kind, the view is gorgeous and the location (although right by the main street) excellent. Within 10 minutes of walking distance one can reach the main area which goes along the lake and offers a good choice of wonderful restaurants with amazing food. There is nothing around the hotel otherwise (other than one more restaurant), for shopping one needs to go to Ponte Tresa, which is reachable within 5 minutes by bus or around 30-40 minutes by foot. It might be too isolated for someone who prefers sightseeing activities, but for us it was great because we were thankful for the peaceful atmosphere in which we could work remotely. The food at the Grotto Bagat Restaurant is highly recommendable - especially the pizza menu - and everything is available in your room too.
