I usually don’t write reviews but I can’t resist this time. This place went way beyond our expectations. This house is darling! The house itself is both historic and fascinating - an oasis in the city centre. The rooms are comfy and modern. The breakfast was very good. And the hostess went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!

“An Elegant, Peaceful Oasis with a Delightful Hostess”

As soon as you step through the small gate in the door of this property, you enter peace and serenity. The courtyard is lush with plants and trees and a fountain. You immediately know you are somewhere special. Eduarda welcomed us at the door, showed us to our room and then gave us a tour of the beautiful property. Our room was called the Studio and looked out on to the courtyard. Then she took us into the completely refurbished mansion which is always open for yr use and convenience. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the rain shower with skylight in our bathroom was wonderful. In the afternoon we sat by the pool and/or used the sauna. It was the perfect stay at one of the nicest properties we've visited in a year of travel. The breakfast buffet (with eggs cooked to order) was sumptuous. Freshly baked breads, fresh island fruits, homemade smoothies-- everything and more served in a large farm-style kitchen. Unique and very special. Thank you for the homemade birthday cake and the Bolos Lêvedos for the trip home! This property is a rare jewel. 11/10 We can't wait to return! Obrigado!

We just came home from Açores.. Everything was just perfect. The manager - a woman, whon don't talk english, was so helpfull and so warm person. Despite she can't english, she communicates via google translator and it works very well. :) The house is a living history. You feel as you'd live in a museum. Well cared museum :) i recommend this place 120%

If you’re reading this and are unsure if yes or no to book, let me tell you, it’s a definite YES! What a wonderful, wonderful place. We booked the converted stable and had such a lovely stay. Three ladies. We felt safe, looked after and it was like home away from home. Eduarda and her team was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing. This place is such a gem, a little haven. It’s within walking minutes to the supermarkets, farmer market, shops etc. You can easily use it as your base and do the east, west and circle tour from here. Taxi to the north-shore for a beach/surf day was (thanks to Eduarda’s booking) also very easy. We’d return in a heartbeat.
