This truly felt like a home away from home. Hélio is an amazing host—caring, thoughtful, and the kind of person who welcomes you with open arms, making you feel comfortable from the very first moment. His accommodation exceeded our expectations—it was spotless, exceptionally well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared in every detail to ensure a smooth and relaxing stay. Not only that, but all the recommendations he provided made discovering this beautiful island effortless and truly enjoyable. Every suggestion was perfectly suited to help us experience the best the island has to offer. We are very grateful for his hospitality and would gladly return anytime.

Helio,the host met us personally to provide the keys, welcomed us to the apartment, showed us around the apartment and answered all of our questions upon arrival. Helio encouraged us to contact him with any questions during our stay and was very responsive to messaging throughout the entire process from initial inquiry to arrival to departure. He was so incredibly welcoming and provided tips regarding seeing the most incredible sites of the island, made restaurant recommendations and gave us of all of the information one would need in case of emergency. We've stayed at several other rental units during our travels and I would rate this as the absolute best in terms of host responsiveness, comfort, cleanliness and location. I would strongly encourage others to consider staying at A Caminho da Ilha during a stay in Ponta Delgada.

Excellent host; kind, caring & attentive Comfortable & very clean & organised apartment, equipped with everything a guest could possibly need. Complimentary food & drink including delicious local foods. Good location, walkable to town centre but in a quieter residential neighbourhood.
