Beautiful property on the age of the lake with interesting history and infinity pool looking over the lake. Very spacious room.

Wonderful room (free upgrade) with beautiful views out across the lake. Best thing about this hotel are the staff, in particular the Senior Guest Service Manager, Priyantha Koralegedara, who was very attentive and efficient.

The hotel Is at a vert beautiful spot. It claims to be high level and has high level prices, but to be honest it was not so good. The room was not dirty itself, bit full of stains. The carpet had a lot of it, all walls where full of death mosquitos etc. for a place like that I would expect more. We had dinner there. I can not understand the many positive comments. Maybe the cook was in holiday. But the food was average, the price way to high, the waiter slow and the live music extremely loud. The next morning we had breakfast and we have been seated on a other table. The table sheets where dirty from the night before. A couple was sitting there and I have seen the dirt already the night before. At this level it is the minimum to change the sheets of the dining table. We had probably the most expensive room. But on our patio were sitting other guests. The walls are so thin that you could here everything outside. Sometime it felt like having the undesired guests in our room. I would not stay again.

Incredible beautiful location, small but tastefully decorated hotel with very helpful staff. Historic site begins at the back door.
