Beautifully decorated & centrally located guesthouse, in Plovdiv's longest pedestrian main street; full of shops, restaurants & Roman ruins. Opposite the guesthouse, there's 'Plovdiv City Hall', a meeting place, where all year round @11:00hrs & 18:00hrs one may take a free walking tour of the New & Old Town: https://freeplovdivtour.com/ Daniela the owner, sent us clear instructions to find & enter the property. From Sofia we took the Flexibus (15лв /€8 each way) we stopped at the main station, then took autobus no.26 (1лв /€0.50c). The 4th stop is Plovdiv city center. 5 min walk from a side street & to the main square. The Fun & Rest Guesthouse is clean, newly refurbished, spacious, fully equipped with all necessities. In Plovdiv all hotels, & touristic hospitality services, have no lifts, exception the H&M clothes shop... this is due to the Roman Ruins underground. The guesthouse has no lift & is situated on the 2nd floor. We stayed in the room with a private bathroom, with a window overlooking the back area. The other 2 rooms share a very well equipped bathroom with washing machine, large shower & toilet. The triple room have a balcony & the double room have a window, both with a stunning view, overlooking a gorgeous panorama & the beautiful main square, which is very busy, but not noisy. Our room was extremely clean & perfumed, with a large comfortable bed & pillows. The extractor in the bathroom dries the water in a few minutes. Daniela was so kind to switch on the AC prior to our arrival, & finding a cool room was so pleasant... summer heat in Plovdiv is excessive! She also gave us a few tips of where we may dine & enjoy a lovely dinner & breakfast (divine "Mekitsa"). Her courtesy was top. I had a problem with my mobile, & she willingly contacted a mobile repair shop nearby, & took us their personally. We appreciated your help Daniela.

Excellent location, helpful owner. I wouldn't recommend for anyone with walking difficulties as many steps up to the room.
