Beautifully situated, fabulous decor, lovely sized rooms with a private garden. The restaurant was fabulous as was the outside pool and garden area.

LOCATION WAS UNFORTUNATELY NO SEA VIEW - BREAKFAST AND DINNER WAS EXCELLENT! COULD HAVE A FULL LENGTH MIRROR SOMEWHERE IN THE ROOM OTHERWISE A LOVELY EXPERIENCE. STAFF WERE EXCELLENT!

We loved our stay in the Old Rectory. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home in the hotel. Thanks to Marvin on reception for the great tips on what to do and where to go, and to Johnny, Fortune, the girls at breakfast and all the staff for making our stay extra special. The women at breakfast also gave my husband a cake and sang him happy birthday on the morning of his birthday which was a lovely touch. The rooms, food and service were all exceptional. Clean rooms and comfy beds. We had dinner in the restaurant when we landed and the food was all delicious.. The drinks were also great, especially while getting to enjoy them in front of the open fire. We also loved the turn down service and the extra special touches like the poems left on the bed and the hot water bottles in the bed for winter. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Plettenberg.

Beautiful property. Spacious & beautiful rooms. Very clean and comfortable! We loved that it has a history and it has a heritage from the 1700’s.
