I mistakenly booked one of the terraced lodges and I was not looking forward to being so near to others for our break which was for peace and quiet purposes. HOWEVER!! The lodge exceeded all our expectations, was spacious and comfortable, we had everything we could have asked for. Even though we were right by the bridge, when the doors were shut you could hardly hear a thing it was so quiet. The complimentary tea and coffee were appreciated. And everything was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are planning on returning and asking for the same lodge!! Thank you for a lovely stay.

It’s a quiet location with plenty birds all around to watch. Its location is central to a lot of nice woodland walks, and places to eat where you can take your dog.

had an amazing stay here and honestly can’t recommend it enough. Unfortunately, on the Monday morning of our trip we were alerted that our dog had cut his paw, so we had to leave the cabin to get him medical treatment. We really thought our holiday was over at that point. However, my girlfriend phoned the company and spoke to a lovely woman (I wish I had her name so I could mention her personally), and she reassured us that we could bring the dog back and continue our stay. That completely turned the trip around for us and meant a lot. This wasn’t our first time staying here — previously we stayed in one of the larger cabins right by the river, which was absolutely beautiful. This time we stayed in one of the smaller cabins, and I was slightly unsure beforehand, but it was just as impressive. It was extremely spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed — the only difference really being one bedroom instead of two. The staff are amazing, genuinely helpful and accommodating, and the whole place has a great atmosphere. We even met some really lovely people during our stay, including a woman visiting from Orkney, which just added to the experience. For the price, this is one of the best places we’ve stayed. Great value, great location, and great people. We’ll definitely be back.
