Everything was perfect, very quiet and clean place with amazing view. The breakfast was from local ingredients and very delicious. Host Pedro was very nice and friendly. We were allowed to walk around the garden and see the nature. You can drive around to see waterfall, almond trees, vineyards. Definitely want to comeback for longer vacation Just a tip: Use Google Maps as a navigator! Waze guides you to a very narrow road in the nearby city, and it was a bit hard to pass it, but the challenge was also a lot of fun

Everything was fantastic. The house is located in a vineyard with a beautiful view over the hillside. We could freely walk around the vineyard, and it’s quite large. Later, we enjoyed wine made from the very grapes grown there. The place is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The house itself was also amazing - much more spacious than we expected, very clean, and everything was thoughtfully arranged down to the smallest details. Pedro is a great host - very knowledgeable about the region and pleasant to talk to. When we arrived, the fireplace was already lit (and more firewood appeared the next day), and in the morning we had a lovely breakfast, including products grown in the garden. Thank you for our state. Highly recommended.

SImply outstanding. A huge property with three independent houses. Olive trees and vineyards as far as the eye can see. Villa 2, where we stayed, was on two levels with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a study/reading area, a large eat-in kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace and heating, as well as two terraces with excellent exposure. Breakfast was excellent.

Our 4-night stay at Quinta Vale de Carvalho at the end of December was truly wonderful. We stayed as a couple with our dog in a luxury villa on the vineyard and felt at home from the very first moment. The villa is very comfortable and luxurious, beautifully furnished with great attention to detail and spotlessly clean, just as described for this property. The house is located on a working vineyard with many old olive trees and offers stunning views over the Douro Valley and the Douro River, which we enjoyed both from inside the house and outside on the property From the quinta we were able to make beautiful walks in the nearby Pinhal do Douro area, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and impressive valley views. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace, the many panoramic vistas over the Douro Valley and the direct access to nature from the property. On two evenings we had excellent dinners at Pedro’s nearby wine house with hotel and restaurant, where the food was of very high quality and clearly prepared with a lot of care. We also bought delicious wine, port and olive oil from Quinta Vale de Carvalho itself, which made the experience on this family estate feel even more special. In the evenings we relaxed by the wood-burning stove with a glass of local wine, which made the winter stay extra cozy. Every morning we received a generous breakfast with fresh bread, jams, fruit, cheese and cold cuts, and our dietary wishes were taken into account, matching the rich breakfast experience other guests describe here as well. Pedro is a warm and attentive host, speaks very good English and made communication easy and pleasant throughout our stay. We travelled with an electric car and could charge it at a regular socket near the villa using our own charger; it was not fast, but perfectly sufficient to drive around the area every day with a nearly full battery.
