The view was absolutely fantastic and the outdoor area was lovely. The apartment was also very nice; clean, big and with good furniture. The beds were good, there was plenty of space for lugage and clothes. The barhrooms were nice and the kitchen fully equiped. The area was quiet and nice, the pool was ok, and it was fine to have a garage for the car. The host at Varenna holiday was really welcomng and helpful. Varenna was lovely, and you can take the ferries everywhere.. Walking down to Varenna was quite easy, on the paths across the winding road, but it is quite steep and you might need a bath or a shower after going up;) There was some busses, a night bus and some taxis as well... The old castle was really worth a visit and a nice walk. Greenway lago di Como was also nice. It was easy to take the train to Milano or Como.. We would really rekommend both the apartement and Varenna.
